In my New Year’s unresolutions post I talked about five practices that support my writing life. (Here’s the CliffsNotes version: Reflection, Intention, Risk, Simplicity, Self-Care.) During the month of April, I’m going to go all risk on this blog.
I signed up for the Blogging from A to Z Challenge, which asks bloggers to post 26 days in April (skip Sundays) with blog posts related to the letters of the alphabet. (So Day 1 is A, Day 2 is B, etc.) The challenge promotes connections with readers and with other bloggers.
In anticipation of the challenge, Monday, March 23 (hey, that’s today!) is challenge theme reveal day on individual blogs. You don’t need a theme to do the challenge, but for some bloggers (yours truly included), it helps generate ideas and provides focus.
So here’s mine: During the Blogging A to Z Challenge, I will blog about practices and circumstances that support the writing life.
Full disclosure: as an emerging writer, who has yet to publish any of her novels, my theme feels a bit pretentious. What do I know about supporting the writing life? Probably more than some but less than most. It’s a theme that I’m living every day, however. I’ll just be a little more public about it in April.
